: Do you keep pancakes?
Yes, I have been working on building a colony for the past 8 years.
: I've been thinking of getting a pair of small tortoises, I'm intrested in maybe a pair of Pancakes.
: Could they be housed outdoors in Phoenix Arizona, or would you recommend indoor housng.
I have housed Pancakes outside here in Florida before and may do it again. Security should be the number one priority! (in my opinion) They are "smart" tortoises, BUT are pretty weak in the shell when it comes to predation. So, secure hideboxes and enclosures are a must.
: I've ben trying to find as much info on them as posible, through a google search. But haven't come up with very much.
: Any link you could provide would be very helpful.
Do this... go to www.google.com
Then, paste the scientific name (Malacochersus tornieri) in the search box and you will be pretty much overwhelmed by the number of sites and info.
Hope that helps some!
Matt
