Hey, just wanted to share!!8/18/00 my female redfoot laid 5 eggs, today she laid 7 more!!! WOW!!
She had been pacing for two weeks and right now their yard is torn apart because of sewer work, so she is in 1/4 of the area she usually has. She could not find a suitable spot to lay, attempted once about a week and half ago, but did not actually lay. Today I put fresh spagnum moss and she instantly climbed onto it and dug and within less than an hour she had dug, laid seven eggs and covered it back up! That is what prompted her to lay her original cluth too, the spagnum. Guess that is her substrate of choice! LOL
