I know this is the tort forum, but I rarely post on turtle
forum. Amazingly I've got 4 common snappers, BIG, in the
backyard over the fence in a 3000 gallon equivalent area
where the water is constantly changing, due to a stream running
in and out of that "hole". Brats, recognize me as the "tidbit lady"
now too! lol

Also got a large turtle shell from Honduras, don't know what type
yet, poor fellow was somebody's lunch but I want to keep him and
show the shell at schools when I do displays. I sprayed it with
several coats of polyurethane. Have to post a pic one time so
you guys can help me ID it. Doesn't fit the pics. in books I've
seen. It's totally smooth shelled, maybe 18 inches long, light
brown with yellow on the edges and a black large spot every few
inches around the bottom. It's a one-piece, no hinge or anything.
