We have an eight year old, 28 lb. male sulcata that managed to strand my husband on the patio roof yesterday. The six foot wood ladder was in his way, so Tonka just kept walking and dragged the ladder with him. He dragged it about five feet. I was watching the whole time and laughing. A little bit later he walked through the ladder again and knocked it over onto the hibiscus hedge. If we are out in the back they are always right under foot. Our backyard is enclosed with block walls, except the wood gate. On the outside of the wood gate we have a very large wood beam that is only there to keep our two from trying to push through the wood gate. The gardener hates it but he understands why it is there, besides he only mows the backyard once a month. We have two live in lawn mowers.
