In Reply to: MAJOR SULCATA QUESTION NEED TO KNOW ASAP!!!! posted by Mercy on September 25, 2000 at 22:13:12:
We hatch out over 300 sulcatas a year, and only expose the hatchlings to water when they first hatch. After that, they only get water during there bi-monthly soaking. Never had a problem. I wouldn't put water in there gage at all. Also, by 3.5 inches, you should start to lay off the veggies and start to promote grazing. No peas!! Thursday I have to go to florida. I am going to have the neighbor feed my torts unitl I get back on sunday. I asked her If she would soak them but she is affraid. I decided that while I am gone I am gonna slip in some romaine with their daily veggies. Will this help with the water. I need to know if they can go this long with out water. Please let me know ASAP!!! MERCY!!
