Sulcata should not be kept in temperatures that go lower than about 70F...in other words, I cannot think of a less appropriate species to keep in England!!! This is a sub-Saharan tropical tortoise that does NOT hibernate and will NOT adapt to the weather in the UK. They get to be over 100+lbs. and can grow to 2.5 feet long. This is something you would be housing in your home for most of the year...and knowing the weather in England, it could be the whole year even. I would not buy this animal if I were you...and I do know about sulcata.
