I just had one of three box turtle eggs hatch. It has hatched one month early ( 60 days ). It totally emerged from the egg three days ago and I was wondering when to start feeding him. What I have read says to wait up to one week before feeding. I have also read that the baby needs a strict meat diet and calcium suppliments. I still have the baby in the incubator separated from the other eggs. The yoke sak has gone. What is the best tempurature for the little guy? Is keeping it in the incubator(82 degrees)ok for now? I have a greenhouse but am wondering if it's to much sun for him yet. I know the UVB rays will be good, but how much is to much? I have many questions and a limited amount of information. Is there a site I can go to and get good sound information on rearing baby box turtles? Any help would be greatly appreciated. fingersign@hotmail.com
