I have had some Spider tortoises for about 6 weeks now. I have the three speices of Arachnoides. Of the three the arachonides arachnoides are the most friendly, most active, eat the most and cost the least. The brygooi run from me, bury them selfs in hot or cool weather, when the a.a. are out running about. The Oblongas have some color on the plastron and are sort of halfway between the others as far they act. I think I like the oblongas best and they are going for $300 to $400 right now. People have reproduced the a.a. and a.o. but I've not heard of anyone reproducing the a. brygooi. If someone has I would like to hear about it. All my spiders act and eat like Lepeord tortoise, mostly gracers, but they eat everything I have offered them. So good so far, but now winter is near, that will be the first true test of how these do in captivity, the next test will be if we can get them to reproduce.
