I often cook clams, would it be ok? Or is it too hard, like the cuttle bone shell? What about ground with a mortar & pestle? Would it be too salty?

: It is not easy, levering up with a screwdriver or something else (not a knife) most of the times the cuttlebone will be broke, but it doesn´t matter, it works the same.
