Hibernation is a necessity in nature because of the presence of seasons. Temperatures drop. Food becomes unavailable. Some animals have adapted to this by hibernating. Now if you provide the required temperatures and the required availability of food where is the necessity of hibernation. (of course it also provides a biological ques)(or so we think) Is it necessary for the well being of the animal? I don't think so.
