I have emailed my son to respond to your question. He has had an African Spurred Tortoise for 6 months and is enjoying him/her greatly. I know he feeds it muskmelon, greens, etc. Would love to hear if you still have them and how big they are now. Your message was from 1998. Karen

: : old the 12 month is 4 1/2 inches and the 15 month is 4 3/4 inches i have had the 15 month old one since it was 5 months old and the the 12 month since it was 3 for the past 3 months they are growwing 1/2 inch a month befor they grow 1/4 inch a month can someone tell if they are growwing at the right rate and also tell me what to feed them i use to feed them fruits but the person i bought them from told me not to.
