Trish, did you resolve this? I am interested because my sulcata has started showing the same occasional symptoms. My vet said that she has seen penile prolapse, ion fact had to amputate a penis because it had been allowed ot go too long prolapsed, and had become necrotic. the goood news is that they don;t need their penis for regular bodily functions, so unless you're a breeder, this should not affect anything.
: I hesitate to ask this because of the possibility of
: getting perverse answers, but I am looking for
: information on penile prolapse in a 18mo old sulcata.
: It started prolapsing two months ago on an occational basis
: and he remained able to retract it fully. REcently he has o
: not retracted it completely for several days. I am curious
: to know if this is a behavioral problem or a medical one.
: I don't want him to lose his penis over a behavioral
: problem. Any serious information would be greatly appriciated.
