Ok, so I decided to take your advice. I figured where ever I get the tort from it's probably going to be full of parasites, so I checked around at the local pet stores. The local PETCO had just received a shipment of 6 torts (i was there the other day and they had none). I picked out the one that looked the most weather-beaten and fat, cuz I figure he must be a survivor :-) They all looked like they might have a bit of a respiratory infection and the guy told me they were all huffing and puffing when he received them. It might just be stress, but I guess I'm off to the vet next week with the both of them (just in case). The girl I had was named Ella, so I named the boy Louis.
