All cherryheads are redfoots but not all redfoots are Cherryheads. Cherryheads are most plainly put the population of redfoots that come from south of the Amazon Basin. These animals can be from Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia and who knows where else. They are not necessarily "dwarfs" either as several that I own are as large as my adult "northerns." At some point in the future I would not be surprised to see them described as many separate races or subspecies. As far as their pet value they are identical to any other Redfoot except for their more colorful markings. Whichever you choose they make extraordinary pets that will give you years of delight and pleasure. Douglas Beard
