Well Aladar has gone back and forth... If I didn't know better he is just gearing up for hibernation?? I have gotta keep an eye on him if I am going to overwinter him. (this is my first yr with him)
He eats like a pig one day and very little for the next 2. Then he poops like a fiend for a day and the next day - little or none. (if he doesn't poop at all in a 2 day period - I soak him and then he does - so I am not worried) And that cycle has been the norm for about a month now. He hasn't lost weight and is active (most active on the days he eats, he grazes better on those days as well) The nights are coming sooner, and he is crashing sooner too. More like 7:00 - 7:30 than 8:30-9:00. But all in all I would say he is doing OK. Just his style I guess.... Thanks for all the words of encouragement... They really helped me keep things in perspective. I will notify you guys of any real changes... Believe me if it is a bad change I will most likely ask your advice again! THANKS FOR CARING! He seems fine... but I do have one more ques.
I know that puffy and oozing eyes are a sign of illness, but what are sunken eyes a sign of? dehydration? No, Aladar doesn't have either symptom...
Oh, and by the way I once asked about the bubbles in the eyes... It hasn't happened for a long time, except the other day just after I soaked him (like the moisture was going through his system? make sense? Anyway it only happened for a moment and he was back to normal again. That was about 4 days ago, and nothing since. OK that is it for now... Sorry for the long update post....
