I posted some pics of our young sulcatta, but way below as replies
to Nikki's "Picture of hay pile hide" thread..
My wife and I bought a sulcatta from a local pet store, who we named
Beaker, only to have him die after just a few months. He turned out
to be sick from the beginning, and we got bad advice from the store.
He had a large lump of calcium in his digestive tract from eating
the calci-sand which the store had him on.
There was one sulcatta (likely Beaker's sibling) left at the store
several months later, and I wrote to the store owner and managed to
get her for free seeing as how we'd spent about $600 on vet bills
for Beaker. We wanted both to have the pet and to save her from the
pet store. She's been with us about 6 months, and is very healthy and
happy.
