A couple in Germany who breed redfoot tortoises travelled to French Guiana to observe wild redfoot tortoises there. Their observations make interesting reading and provide some insight into ideal temperatures and diet. You can access their paper, Observations at the Habitat of Geochelone Carbonaria in French Guiana, through the redfoot egroup. Go to www.egroups.com/messages/redfoot. Then go to message #379.
