Deb;
The problem might not be your bulbs. The real culprit might be your power company. Often when service is restored after an outage, the current surges. This is due to all the appliances (light bulbs included)that were left on when power was lost. The more often you lose power, the more often you are likely to experience a power surge. These power surges are particularly tough on PCs. Many of the devices available to protect PCs will work for you. A simple power strip with a surge supressor will only set you back about 10 bucks. If you lose power often and for prolonged periods, surge supressors with battery backup are available. Oneac is a good brand that offers a wide selection of sizes and models. A local computer dealer should be able to help you out.
