OK, I did not use the Dogigloo at all outside this summer
because it is simply too hot inside of it. Am I using this
incorrectly or what??? Why is it not working here for me?
Even in the shade it's lousy. I'm considering selling it
because it's just taking up space.
We seem to do much better with the hollowed out logs.
Also, the snapping turtle thing may be getting out of hand,
we're actually considering taking him with us when we move,
crazy things like "if we dig a 12 ft. deep pond and backfill
it 6 ft. with dirt, filter, blah blah." It's hard because he's
right there, on our property behind the fence every day.
I'm thinking that if we move, eventually the city will
come back there (the city right-of-way is immediately after
the property line and includes parts of this water he's in)
and go through the place with a bulldozer like they tend
to do everywhere. Probably not in the next few years, but
you know how that goes. We're out of here next spring/summer
into a new house, so after hibernation this winter, I should
see him in the spring before we leave. Should I just forget
him, and leave him to fate? sigh, niki
