I understand that it is generally not recomended. I have a few questions:
1. Does this apply to other animals (eg. dogs, cats)? Other reptiles? Or just torts?
2. I heard that the risks of cross contamination decreases with captive breds. Is this accurate?
3. Assuming the torts (sulcata, radiated, indian star, leopard) gets a thourough check up ( eg. respiratory related deseases, parasites, salmmonela, etc), am I still playing "rusian roulete"?
