I don't know where to start...
How about hibernating- I'm assuming that Skippy slowed down on his food intake prior to hibernating. It's hard to tell because I have other animals in his habitat with him. But it seems to me that there was less food consumption at that time.
Questions on the habitat-- I'm horrible at taking pictures- thankfully my significant other studied photography- and equally inept at sending pictures anywhere over the internet. If I figure out how to do this I'll gladly post pictures for everyone to see.
Finally-- I live in Portland, OR. Our winters are mild- sometimes it snows and sometimes the snow sticks. Most often it rains- not a hard rain, just a steady grey drizzle. On any day in the 70*'s I take Skippy out to bask and graze- we have a church near the apt. and it has a beautiful lawn. Most of the time Skippy stays indoors. Like I said earlier, the habitat is fairly large-- it takes up a good portion of one wall in the living room. But, since the habitat has a top on it, we can use the top as shelving for books etc. and this allows us to recoupe some lost space.
I know that my answers were not very coherent but if you have any more questions or need to have clarification don't hesitate to ask.
