I'm in the Chicago area. My son and I intend to make an outdoor inclosure this year. We intend for our torts, however, to only reside there during nice weather, during the day, when we are outdoors also. I, too, am concerned with moisture,as well as predators(those racoons could get into anything we tried to put together). But I still want them to be outdoors as much as possible and to be able to graze.

: Wanted to ask...does anyone have experience keeping Russian torts outside in PA? Can they thrive outside?

: Just bought a house and my thought was that in my yard I have plenty of room to make an outdoor enclosure. Was going to sink a box several feet into the ground so they could borrow to hearts content. My only big concern I guess would be if they'd get too much moisture. Any thoughts.

: E-mail really appreciated if possible. Thanks!
