need sulcata info

I was just given an infant (4wks) sulcata. I have read several FAQ's and still have some questions. What is Care fresh, and would wood pellets or corncob bedding be an acceptable substitute? Since I live in Wyoming, outside grazing is limited to roughly two months. What is the best feed for them the rest of the year. Is anything poisonous for them? Last but not least, is there a way to sex these cuties. Any and all other info anyone can give me to make this little guy (?) thrive would be greatly appreciated.
