it's most likely just uric acid, though, if you are worried it would be best to go see a qualified vet. as far as feeding goes, kale is a no no. it contains something (too tired to think :) that blocks the tortoises ability to digest calcium. if you supplement a lot of calcium, this could be what you are seeing in the feces as it will be passed through. i strongly reccomend a diet more orientated around dandelion, and endive for leopard tortoises. you can also feed some other greens such as collards, mustard greens, and watercress. for more feeding/nutritional information, please follow the link to the Nutrition Chart i have on my webpage.
