:I know alot of people use newspaper or pine chips. These are good choises if you want ease in cleaning. I have a sculpted vivarium designed with aesthetics in mind. I use a combination of sterile potting soil mixed with some sand and larger rocks.
I have planted desert plants in the habitat and put in some gnarled wood for Skippy to climb on.
