Personally I can't see any fault in trying to do you best in caring for a pet. Thats what I personally feel this whole forum section should focus on. First we'll assume that it's a sulcata, so we'll go by that. First things to consider. "Buddy" will be a large pet. Expect somewhere around 20-24" long and up to 150lbs. Not something you'll let crawl in bed with you. "Buddy" will be a eating machine and demand special care including a large area outdoors. Ask yourself if you can offer this for "Buddy" and will "Buddy" be happy with what you can offer? After all of this scan this forum for topics on diet, bedding, cages...ect. Alot of good discussion in down there already. Also vist Nikki's site (links are normally included on her posts) for pictures on her cage for her sulcata. And check out the Tortoise Trust website for good general info. (look for posts by Andy H.) Sorry for generalizing the post but if I offered solely my opinon then you would miss out on all the wonderful points brought out in all topics
below. That way you can better inform yourself to make your own choices for "Buddy". PLEASE! always ask any question at anytime no matter how silly you might feel it is. Everyone needs help sometime, and thats what we should be here for, else we all fail.
