Well, I talked to my mom. You'd be amazed at how much mom's know. :) Anyways, I found a good spot for my indoor and outdoor pen. I'm just wondering how much room an indoor pen should have. My mom says he will do just fine in a vivarium measuring 24 1/2 inches by 22. I say that is too small. I can extend it probably by 3-4 more inches each side to make it 31 inches by 28. Also, I could just get a bigger table. Or will they need so much space that a card table wouldn't be able to hold it all?
We were also wondering the possibilities of a duplex. Is there any chance a tortiose would climb up a ramp to get to a 2nd layer? It'd be extremely complicated for me to make, and I doubt we would, but we were just wondering.
Now for my outdoor pen I have a space about 12 feet by 6 feet. That's plenty big enough, isn't it? It has a tree to provide shade, some groundcover vegetation and about 6 square feet of just dirt. It also has many small rocks. Will I need to clean those out, or will they do fine? Geez, I feel bad asking all these questions, sorry. Are any weeds poisonious? Anything I definately shouldn't feed them? Also, what type of wood should I use for all the enclosures? Untreated pine? Once again, thanks for the help, and sorry for the questions.
