I am from the box turtle forum. I just found out about Theresa.
How did ya'll find out about her?
That makes me so sad!!! I just don�t know what to say. Did this happen today?
Theresa and I were pretty good friends. We often e-mailed each other. As a matter of fact, I
e-mailed her last week, and I have gotten no reply from her. I was starting to get worried, and now I know why I haven�t gotten a response from her

I think I may know. A few months ago, right after I adopted some hatchlings box turtles from Theresa, we were talking on the phone. I don�t know how the conversation came up, but she started telling me about problem she was having. Apparently there was a person that was jealous about Turtle Cafe. So, they started making up rumors about her and spreading them around the internet. They sent rude e-mails to people that had recently purchased items for Turtle Caf�, and they also threatened to kill her! Because of this she had the police involved, and had several cases in court. By the end of the conversation she was crying so much she practically hung up on me. She made a page on her website about this. I think the name of the page is �Online Harassment.� This may not be the reason why she committed suicide, but it may be.

She is missed by many already!
