Hi Sonja,
if they are Malayan box turtles then they are aquatic.
Malayan box turtles are the most aquatic of all the box turtles.
I have linked a good web site below for you to start with.
Make sure you identify them correctly first, then set them up.
Malayans should have both a water and land area, the water must be deep enough for actual swimming.

There are many experienced Asian keepers on the list and some of the best vets too.
I have a troop of C.galbinifrons and can tell you now that Asian species can be extremely difficult.
Please make a vet appointment as soon as possible
it sounds as though these poor turts need help ASAP.
