good question, i was wondering myself, but haven't done the info search yet.
i'm guessing you're asking because you live where it gets pretty cold. i would opt for not hibernating since we know this works. even if redfoots from argentina could be hibernated, we really have no way of knowing if the torts. we have came from that area. i live in florida and still bring my redfoots in when it gets to cool. i prefer not to let them get below 60 degrees. several people have told me they can go to the low fifties, but i've seen respiratory problems below 60, so i stay on the safe side and bring them in.
i know this didn't answer your question in any way, but just wanted to say my piece so hopefully you won't have to deal with any respiratory infections.
