: Where can i find info on how to take care of gopher tortise eggs??
Gopher tortoise eggs require a dry type incubator similar to Mediterranean species rather than tropical species. At 82 degrees F they take about 105 days to hatch. Higher temps may cause split scutes. Of course if you are located within the natural range of Gopherus polyphemus - you also need a state permit to possess adults, eggs or babies. They are protected throughout their range.
