As mentioned, I believe that the evidence is pretty conclusive. There are two types of 'pyramidingf', one genetically derived, and one nutritional. It is important not to confuse the two.
The two types are very easily and immediately distiguishable on autopsy, or via x-ray.
This is - of course - just my opinion, but I'd point out that I've spent the last several years investigating little else.
