I think that the selling Russians in groups of two or three is a simple marketing ploy to give the pet-shops more money. I, myself, work in a petshop specializing in reptiles; and we sell our Jacksons chameleons the same way in groups of two or three. The owner caimes that he will only breeding pairs. In truth this is nonsense, but people will by them anyway and the store makes money!
