Does your tortoise hide at night (for indoor at night torts)

I got rid of that aquarium that was my torts indoor home for a short period when I got him (he did seem to like it at night - he would hide under his log and sleep). Now I got a larger enclosure for him at night (got one outside too for the day) He seems OK with it (we changed the room around to fit it) At night now, he doesn't hide, in fact since I have had the new enclosure, (About 4 days now) he has not hide at all. Could he be more comfortable with the new home or not like it at all?. He only goes in at night and when it is really really raining outside.
