:Something we don't emphasize enough is the ramifications of owning a sulcata. First-- these tortoises grow pretty fast, it might seem slow but don't be fooled. In a few short years you are going to have a giant on your hands. Are you able to provide adequate space to house more than one sulcata? And I don't mean bare minimum, I mean comfortably. Have you concidered the ammount of food you will need to keep a heard of sulcata well fed with good nutrition? I'm pretty sure that a single sulcata will eat an amazing ammount of food, I don't even want to think about feeding a group of these animals!
The point is you can't simply think about the *now* you have to plan for the future, and really soul-search to figure out if you can handle it.
