The feed of 12 1/2 oz per day is for 4 torts. 10 oz. large torts (2), 2 1/2 oz. small torts. My largest tort "Bull" is the one that is gaining the most quickly. They are all bathed and weighed weekly so I can track the rate. Dozer, my female was 2 lb. 4 oz. on May 28, 2001. She was weighed yesterday and is 5 lbs. 8 oz. She isn't growing as fast as Bull. They are fed once per day and also receive 16 pcs. Mazuri tortoise diet. Bull is not pyramiding. The larger he gets the smoother he becomes. Bull probably eats over 50% of the diet. So I would say that he eats about 6 oz. per day. I can't wait for summer to come so he can groom my lawn.
