You got some great advice there. My russians LOVE hibiscus, but turn their noses up at roses (of any color)! HomeBase or HomeDepot sell hibiscus in 1 gallon containers pretty cheap, I'd plant one in a sunny area of your yard because those flowers are the highlight of their day. Mine really prefer to graze on rye and bermuda grass. Terry gave you the link to the turtle cafe, that's a great resource for info on feeding your tort and for seed mixes to plant in- or outdoors. The turtle cafe also sells smooth cactus pads, so you can just order a couple of pounds of pads and slice off a piece every few days; the cactus is a favorite. Also, I use Rep-Cal's Herptivite vitamin supplement, along with their calcium (no phospherus), and sprinkle that on the salad I offer every few days (but now that I've got the garden up and running, I slice a piece of cactus and put the supplements inside and feed it to them individually). Anyway, good luck with your tort. You'll do great!
Kathy
