What is estivation?
What time do your animals go down for the night?
Mine (I have to get him up in the morning, and he eats and most times takes a nap)
At usually about 9:00 PM he heads for a hiding place and goes down for the night...
Lately, I have only had him 2 weeks, but over the past 2-3 days (it has been Hot here) he has been going under a rock about 7:00 PM at night and burrowing himself... I usually leave him there until I go to bed and bring him inside (we have also been getting the Thunderstorms (that last only about 1/2 hour - but look and sound deadly) and is always trying to find a way out of the pen I made him and he has to be kept an eye on from time to time... So I don't let him go for long without a peek!
Maybe if I knew what estivation (or aestivation) was - I would know if what he is doing is normal?
