I was always led to believe that cabbage and its relatives--Kale, broccoli etc-- were harmfull in two ways. First they were goiter producing veggies, and second, they somehow disrupted the gut-garden in essence giving the animal gas and intestinal discomfort. In fact I have been told to never feed cabbage to anything.
But you have clairified the issue by suggesting moderation. Far too many people (myself included)
go over-board and either feed too many desert foods--Berries, mellons, etc-- or they cut out a perfectly good food because of problems caused by over indulgence.
Moderation is the Key!!
