Teddy has an 8' X 2 1/2' X 2' cage for NOW, while
he's a midget, but that's for sleeping in, he's got
a 14' X 6' pen for outside when he needs to be
out of the 1/4 acre back yard (such as when we
are mowing the grass). When we move to our new
house next spring, he'll have better than that.
I applaud you trying to build an enclosure for
your tort, much better than a lot of people and
you're looking toward the future too, good.
If you're doing a multi-level unit, remember that
you want to be able to access all parts for cleaning,
inspecting the animal and access to him. Be careful
with any type of ramp so he can't "turn over" accidentally.
