: I've had Omar for about a year now, and he's been eating about 1/4 cup of food a day. He used to not finish it all, but now he chows down. How much should he be eating now. He's about 4 - 4 1/2 inches long (plastern).
: Thanks

Hi Karen,

Sounds like your doing a good job on caring for that tort. It's always good practice to leave enough food so that some is left over, that way you know the torts getting a good share of food. My torts will generally eat until they are through, leaving behind what they are finished with or going back during the day while they are grazing. See if you have a local feed store and try to get a bale of "Orchard Grass Hay" ( about 20 bucks, for 150# bale) and use that as a substrate or feed your greens on top of it. You'll soon see alot of it in the stool during elimination..a good thing. Take care.

Ciao'

Giovanni
