When you refer to "grass" and "weeds" what exactly do you mean. Local grass and weeds growing in the woods? I live in New York, and am not sure what is safe to feed them. It is said that 75% of their diet should consist of "grass, weeds and clover." I have been feeding them Collard Greens, Red Leaf, Dandelions, Kale, Romaine and carrot shavings. I use the calcium and vitamin powder, and they are also outside in the sun a good portion of the day. Is the local weeds, grass and clovers safe for these tortoises to eat?
Thanks
Lou
