: G.radiata are much more cold tolerant than G.sulcata. My adults are kept outdoors year round in Antananarivo
: (at 1200 meters altitude) with "winter" night time lows of 5-6 degrees Celsius and everage winter day time temperatures of 20-24 degrees Celsius. Each group of G.radiata has an unheated night time shelter were the tortoises can hide. It hardly ever rains though during our "winter".. More than 70 % of the annual egg production is laid during our winter months (May-September). We feed them grasses, Water hyacinth, Hibiscus leaves and
: flowers with no additives. They are real eating machines and never seem to have enough. Here's a pic of an exceptional juvenile that hatched for us in 1996.

: : Mr. Pronk I was wondering if you would mind helping me with a care-sheet for the Radiated tortoise?I realise you are a busy man but a few helpful tips would go a long way.My original questions are in the previous post.Giovanni thanks for the web addresses, had sifted through them before but am looking for more specific information, help was appreciated.
