I would not use any of these substanses any where near my animals.
One way to find out if you have fleas is to set out shallow pie tins with hot soappy water in dark areas of the house ie;under furniture in closets etc. The fleas will be drawn to the warmth jump into pan and the soap will prevent them from escaping.Dont leave pan where tort or pets will find(air bubbles every where).
There are some natural optios such as armorphous diatomacious earth. This is a desicant that dries up the flea or mite. Only use D.E. that is labled for pest control. Swimming pool D.E. is dangerous.
I am out of time if more questions ask for Brent.
: Hamster mites are about 1 tenth the size of fleas. They cannot live on humans but they are opportunistic and usually dig in around tight clothing areas. Belt line, bra line, sock line, etc.
: Pest strips use dichlorvos as an active ingredient and in low doses it's lethal to mites. In large doses, it's lethal to humans.
: Sevin dust will control and contain the mites but will not usually erradicate them.
: Ivermectin is the choice of your local Vet. Effective but expensive.
: Your snake can also cure the problem....
