If you use a pest strip make sure it is one with sticky glue only. Otherwise you may slowly kill your animal.
Sanitation is your best form of mite control. A clean enclosure is most important. If you already have mites, take animimal out of cage and use strong cleaner with very hot water. let sit for at least ten minutes before rinsing.
Treat animal with natural mitacide bought at most health food stores. 0nly treat areas infested.
DO NOT EVER USE MOTH BALLS!!!!!! These are toxic to all living creatures even us.
: Put a pest strip above the Hamster cage and the mites will be killed.
: Hamster mites cannot live on reptiles.
