: Watch the price of spiders fall through the floor as the jobbers get stuck now with all the poor quality left over specimens. Be careful now and make sure you look through the false claims of "best looking" as there is alot of junk out there being offered by resellers who are now are stuck with these in their inventories. Many of these resellers have little if any tortoise experience. For example, I refer to one resleer who boasts of particularly high quality, yet the particlar specimens in the photographs are very old, one with asymmetrical laminae!!

: Novices, second think this. The very experienced tortoise breeders are realizing, for the most part, good success with these spiders, (all four types), but not without deparasitizing and special attention to many. Males apparently are somewhat problematic esp. planicauda males.
