I bought some Emydura Macquarrii(all small ones, 4cm in length and width), and would like to know how to keep them.
I keep them in a 2 foot tank with a underwater heater, a filter, a 20Watt UVB tube and some rocks above water level for them to rest on. I'm thinking to get a basking bulb to provide extra heating, but people in pet shot told me it's not necessary to have one because those turtles live mainly underwater. As long as the water temperature is right, don't need to worry to much about that as I already provide UVB tube. Can anyone give me some advises on that? Thanks very much.
Another question about feeding...
I feed them with frozen meat cube and they seem to like it very much, but is it good for them to have only those cubes? Anything else can be fed to them? Also, what would be good for Ca intake?
Thanks very much for your help.
