Just a note to those who take their torts out to graze in public campgounds, parks, state parks, national parks, etc.
Even if the park does say they use chemicals, they usually do whether or not the person at the gate notifies you of it.
Some parks use flea and tick repellant, have insect/rodent traps, may have used fire repellant or some other treatment that doesn't necessarily fall into the pesticide category.
You don't know what the person before you in that are has done - thrown out soapy dishwater, dumped out a partially empty Coleman fuel container or let his oil drain out into the ground. I've seen them all - the first two at state parks and the last one in Yosemite National Park.
Obviously do what you want, but our natural areas are no longer respected nor pristine so I would be wary to let any animals free graze in a public use area.
