See, this is what seems to be the popular assumption. I'm saying that you can have improper bone development without pyramiding(golf ball smooth, so to speak) Why?
On the other hand you do usually have soft shell with pyramiding And you can have pyramiding with normal bone development (stars, leopards, tent tortoises) Why?
: :Hey EJ: could it be that soft shell is the natural progression of pyramiding? In other words, with inadequate calcium you get pyramiding but with virtually no calcium you get soft shell.
