Oral administation is not always warrented...ever seen a bird try to take baytril orally? in exotic species, the trauma of having their mouth forced open and pills, tubes or syringes put down their throat can add to their stress and make their recovery longer..or in some cases worsen their condition. Injectable is quick, easy and I beleive less stressful in exotics.
